So far in 6th grade science we have spent time getting to know each other, asking good questions, exploring buoyancy by exploring some dancing raisins and the Titanic and we just finished our first engineering task-the Laser Light Maze.
Our focus in the beginning of the year is to ask strong, thoughtful and relevant questions because these help us to be more purposeful in our investigations but also just allows us to wonder about things that we may not know they answers to.

Equally important to the wondering questions of science is learning about and using the Engineering Design Process to solve problems. We'll be doing lots of exploring and building this year!
